Streamsong and Cabot Citrus Farms are your best options for public golf. One is a little over an hour north of Tampa and one is a little over an hour south. I haven't had a chance to play, but Dunedin Golf Club is a public Donald Ross in Pinellas County.

Cabot Citrus Farms....redesign of the World Woods complex which was a big deal when it opened up in 1992,

There's a video out on Cabot Citrus farms......they opened up in June on the redesign....its Disneyland for Golfers for sure!

Where are you staying? What's your budget? What's your groups handicaps?
Streamsong is awesome as others have said but high handicappers, won't like it for what it cost.

Played TPC Tampa on a bachelor party with about the same amount of people. Decent price and nice course.
