I have a want to make lists, and I think this is a very strong year for RB. I think 10 of these guys could get P5 offers. This is ranking through my limited lens of Twitter, Youtube, HUDL, Interviews, etc.

I know will get dragged for the LSU guys.

Also, send me more names if you know them from your pocket of the woods. I will update throughout the year as these Sr years develop.

You said ranking 2025 LA RB’s. If you have Berry ranked 4th in Louisiana your list sucks

Curious as to what traits you think Harlem still needs to develop?

Ranking Berry is a complete troll to try and get clicks and conversation. Everyone would be better off just to stop reading

Berry is a:

5 star ATH
4 star RB
Would be a 5 star WR if committed to it.

If you want him to be Jammal Charles, Chris Johnson or Jamyr Gibbs, he will have to shock defenses with his speed more North/South vs running around them, like he currently does. Hit a hole hard and run by every one.

Currently, the competition he plays certainly does not help the habit of trying to run around defenses. Because he can do that very easily. We saw this type of thing with Joe McKnight and Reggie Bush previously. Bush figured it out with the Dolphins, and you saw the results. It led to McKnight being mainly a KO guy in the NFL. And I don't think Berry is as creative with the ball as McKnight was.

When I watch his high school tape, his moves mimic WR moves. He can stop and start on a dime. He gives ground to get ground. Pairing that with his 7 v 7, you can see it even more clearly when going head up with other players spread out wide. He's built to play in space. He's built to take guys off the line, and run by them. He's built to catch the ball and break angles.

Sure he is a good enough athlete to make an impact at RB. I think he'd be better served as a WR.

I know it’s not a popular opinion on here to agree with you. I agree with you that he could make a badass receiver, and that he should be a receiver.

Running back is basically a dead position in the NFL. There’s only a handful a backs in NFL that have huge contracts while they put a premium on receivers whose careers also last longer.

It would have been funnier if you just didn't list Berry in these rankings.

As a small school guy (went to a school in his district) I can tell you first hand how much it blows to play against that caliber of athlete when your team is a bunch of undersized white kids. We played Bradley Sylve led South Plaq and it's just miserable

That said, you're right in that he can just run around everyone. You can only do so much with your defense at that level to compete. It's also possible to limit an athlete of that caliber when there is no one else on the field you have to concentrate on. You can basically surrender 8 yards per play and hope, once or twice per possession, someone else fricks up. We held Sylve relatively in check, but they still won by 30+. That's what happens when the other team has 10+ D1 athletes on a 1A team

I’ll bite……

Is it his size that bothers you. As I have seen in other threads.

Or is it his competition?

His numbers are good but honestly they should (& could) be better given the competition. He doesn’t win the same as of the one percenters that he is compared to

I've spoken to the coaches of my alma mater, and they all compare him to Reggie Bush. Now, that means nothing because they've never coached anyone on his level, but they see the talent. He did look like an insane WR in those 7 on 7s.

He really just needs to get into a better weight program than what St. Martins offers. I hope he's working with Sonic Boom or one of those places in the off season.

Great info.

Gabe Mocek (6-0, 200, Sr.) St. Thomas More part of state champion relay team with CB Brian Broussard Jr.

ETA looks like he had some fun vs. Brother Martin

I read an article about Lakedrin Harvey.

It quoted the Dutchtown coach as saying he didn 't start a game last year, but he was the district MVP.

He ran some fast times this spring in track.

He was 2nd team all state too I think

He has some quality verified track times in the 10.5 range

He’s a little stiff on the ankles but has some pretty loud tools

But Charles Power has the special "keen" eye that revealed D'Shaun Ford is the No. 27 player in Louisiana.

ETA On3 dropped Ford again....down to No. 29.

Damn Lester. You like ford as your third back?

I love the Matt Forte comp for Simon.

I think any other year lsu would take Sheppard. With berry on board, they are similar.

In no world is ford a better back than berry.

RBs don’t seem to get the extra exposure that WRs and QBs get on the 7 on 7 circuit, unless you are a special talent like Berry.

When I looked a few weeks ago Harvey didn’t even have a recruiting profile.

Ford to me is nasty. Why people so quick to move him to LB but when you say Berry may be a better WR, they flip their shite lol?

Ford’s balance is just really good for how hard he runs. He gets hit, but is like a cat-like. He’ll lean into it, or catch himself to prevent him from falling. I like him a lot.

Rivals has Ford at No. 5 in state and No. 14 RB in the nation.

On3 has him No. 29 and No. 80.
