Any locals have any recommendations off strip? I have heard good things about Fremont Street. Restaurants, beer gardens, comedy clubs, etc? I am staying on strip but the more I read, the more it seems like a scam.

Can anyone recommend the best sportsbook on the strip? Has anyone tried stadium swim and how was their experience?

Everything in Vegas is a ripoff

Expect to spend 2-3 times what you normally expect to spend for stuff, and you’ll be ok

*Pro tip- take Ubers instead of taxis, especially from the airport. You’re welcome.

Just stay on the Strip. I like Fremont Street but it’s only worth a half of a day or so if you are spending several days.

Not always cheaper actually.

Taxi companies have set rates depending on what section of the strip you are going to. Always cross-check your rate on Lyft/Uber with the set taxi flat rate. Sometimes it ends up being more expensive to Uber.

Taxis have been cheaper as of late for me. Sometimes they are just more convenient as well. For instance, Caesars has the rideshare pick up all the way in the back of the property and taxis were in the front.

Gf and I did Nyotaimori a few weeks ago. We should get that together for the tailgate

Not so fast my friend...

Just depends on what your plan is in Vegas. If you are there just to sightsee, then Fremont is just a few hours of time.

If you are there to gamble, Fremont has much better gambling than the strip. Some lower limits, but most importantly in blackjack... many more 3:2 tables than 6:5. On the strip, most likely you have to play on high limit room to play 3:2 blackjack

This is accurate. The trashiness outside tends to overshadow this

Freemont is good for one night, gets a little sketch though. Ellis Island, Steak and Eggs 6.99. I eat there every meal when I'm in town.

They also have the vest blackened prime rib in the world.
