the look of Hellboy seems off a little - but that may just be because I am a huge fan of Harbour and Perlman, but this definitely hits the creepy vibe - and the Crooked Man story is a great one.

Hellboy looks “off”. Who did the replace Harbour with? Also looks like more of a straight up horror movie than the fantasy action comedy of previous ones.

I don't think the Del Toro movies can be topped. His style was just too perfect for them.

Yeah wish he would have gotten to conclude his series

Harbour shite the bed when he got a chance in 2019. That movie sucked but like someone mentioned, no one can beat del Toro. At least here, they are basically doing a horror movie and getting away from del Toro's fantasy/sci-fi/superhero type of movie. Ron Pearlman also cannot be replaced. He was perfect with a perfect director. I would love for Guillermo del Toro to tackle some Neil Gaiman stuff like The Graveyard Book.

So I finished this yesterday and really enjoyed it. I think it helps that I had incredibly low expectations as this was released straight to streaming here in the states.
I liked that it was completely different from the other films, it was all about a self contained horror story and it worked for me. Jack Kesy did a great job in the role. It does have a small budget so there are some lame visual effects , but overall I enjoyed it and would recommend giving it a watch.
