I am running the above hull with a t-top, a Suzuki DF300 and a 3 blade 16 inch prop with a 20 pitch. WOT is 6000 RPM. Top speed is 54. Cruising is around 4000RPM at about 35mph. Boat gets up pretty good but the prop blows out every time even trimmed all the way down and trim tabs down. My question is what are y’all running prop wise on something similar? I am planning on going to Bo’s Prop Shop on the Amite in the next couple weeks to run a few different ones but just wanted to see what others are doing.

Rpm is good but why are tabs down?
Is motor setup correctly?
Eco Inertia is the best prop out there right now.

Sorry I should have been more specific. I have tried to get on plane without blowout with the trim tabs and motor trim in all different positions trying to find a sweet spot.

Check motor height on transom, it maybe too high, call key west and ask them.

I have same boat with 250 Yamaha & 6” jack plate. I get a bit more out of mine, but not too much. 58-59 with a light load but haven’t had blowout issues. Do you have 25” shaft? I do not know what prop I have but will check.

Seems like every time I read a thread about propping a Suzuki, the Solas Scorpion is praised.

Before you go.
-Record time to plane off and RPM
-record minium speed and RPM to maintain plane
-Speed at every 500 RPMs
-Top end speed and rpms

That's what I had to do when I got my last boot propped. It was my little marsh rig.
