Feels weird this year, like a blip on the radar before everyone goes back to clay for the Olympics, then hardcourts in August. Nadal is out. Nole looks like he will play. Sinner and Alcaraz in the same half. Oh well, it's still the most important tournament in the world. I think all coverage is on ESPN and/or ESPN2.
Men's Draw.

Went in 2019 and it was awesome. You’ll definitely enjoy it.

Amazing that in 2024 grass is still only about a month long and there's no Masters event.

I saw some discussion on that at Talk Tennis last week. They would basically have to force Queens or Halle to take a backseat to the other. Apparently, Queens doesn’t have the infrastructure or space. I’m not sure about Halle. I bet the Germans could get it done there or Berlin.

One thing that was so favorably skewed for a guy like Nadals career

Multiple 1000s on clay and a multiple month long clay season

Imagine if clay was only 1 month with ZERO thousands and grass was 3 months with 3 1000s events

Nice man. How did you get tickets? Planning on going next year or two. Hoping to head to the AO 25 next.

Playing from the back wall on grass = death. He's not great at the net, either.
He's 10th favorite, which is about right.

Shapo takes out Jarry in straights. Glad I didn't bet that one, I thought Nico might get him as a dog.

Will be interesting to see if he can take this win and build up some momentum. Probably won't go very far since he would have Alcaraz in R3. But he absolutely NEEDS to get something going headed into the American HC season.

He has had a horrible 2024. He peaked at 10th in the rankings June 2023 and was right on Fritz's heels for the Top American spot. Now... not so much, being passed by Paul, Shelton, and Korda.

Got very lucky. A coworker of my wife put her in touch with her friend that has some special type of ticket that is transferable (it’s my understand most cannot be transferred). We spoke with him, gave him the date of our layover at Heathrow, and when he said we could use them for that day we extended our trip to include 48 hours in London.

Awesome. I went in '02. The company was Championship Tennis Tours at the time. I think their in was that they got an allotment from the Scottish Lawn Tennis Association. During that trip, I also queued up all night to try to get in later in the tournament. I could have gotten on the grounds, but I was a wreck because it was a cold night and I wasn't prepared to camp out. Felt like I was going to die. I think if you're willing to do that, you will get into the grounds at least. I'm curious how everything works now with digital tickets.

We got them emailed to us just the other day. Which was a bit unnerving because we were already in Europe so if we had an issue getting them it could have been a disaster.

If there is a restructuring of the tennis calendar like either of the two big proposals i have read about, I really hope they fix grass court season.

I know grass isn't as common as hard court and clay, but it is the sports history and there should be more lead up to Wimbledon which is the biggest event of the year. There should absolutely be a grass court Masters event.

It would be great if Queen's or Halle could be expanded, but if not, create a new event.

Shelton forces a fifth. Sebi down two sets to one in three breakers to a French dude who beat Shelton a week ago.
