Traveling out in a couple weeks with family, never flown out of IAH before, only connected. We have a 5am flight, looking for hotel suggestions for getting to airport early and if possible, long term parking near the hotel and we could just shuttle over? Thanks for the help.

For convivence, there is a Courtyard on JFK right next to The Parking Spot.

Holiday inn near the airport offers in site parking and a shuttle
If you go with the parking spots I’d park the nIght before and take the hotel shuttle. The shuttles can go slow sometimes especially early.

Don't know about hotels but get there early. Parking at IAH can be a total shite show
Missed our flight to Cancun a few months ago because of it

Solid rec here. Sign up for parking at the Parking Spot online in advance anc get better prices. Since you're coming the night before, plan on eating before you get to the hotel. There's several restaurants on 45 between Richey and Airtex that are pretty close. There is nowhere by JFK that I'd want to stop.

If you book terminal parking atleast 12 hours in advance, you can save upwards of 50%, depending on length. Longer duration might be a 15% discount. It can get pricey but depending on the length of stay, is not too much more than the external lots. It makes life much easier.
If you will be gone a week+, then external lot is your best bet. I've personally used Fine Airport Parking with good results. Always seemed the cheapest option, all spots are covered, and bus picks you up in front of your car.

Discount at ecopark depending how long you are parking there. 20% for 7+ days.

I looked all over the Fine Airport Parking website and couldn't find their address.
Parking Spot also picks you up in front of your car and drops you off there.

With a flight that early, I’d stay in the Marriott that’s connected to the airport. Park off site the day before, shuttle to terminal c, check in to hotel.
Edit: be wary of the "free shuttle" from some of the local hotels. They're rarely 24x7, and you'd need to leave no later than 0400 (if your family is organized and know what they're doing.) If the driver even shows up that early, he may call in sick, may be late, etc. Finding an Uber at that time as a backup plan is not a great idea either, in that area. The Courtyard says it's shuttle is "27x7," but with attention to detail like that, I'd be wary.
