It’s amazing that LSU has been to half of the CWS over the last 38 years

19 of the last 38 CWS, we have been there.

Another amazing stat, we have won the NC on average once every five years over the last 35 years.

Another amazing stat, every player for Skip that played all four years with him, went to the CWS at least nice, and every four year player starting Skip’s second year, won at least one NC.

I don’t think this is true unless we just didn’t have any 4 year players early in his tenure. His second year was 85 and the first title wasn’t until 6 years later.

I thought it was an amazing stay that in 2013 when Indiana went to the CWS, the last time a Big Ten team went to the CWS in the early 80s, LSU had never even been to one. We went to like 15-16 CWS and won 6 in between trips from a single Big Ten team.

You may be correct. I think the stat is every four year player starting in 87 won at least one NC.

Of this year's eight CWS teams, they had a combined 77 trips to Omaha but only 3 NCs among them.

We've made 19 trips with 7 titles.

It's disappointing when stall out in a regional but our baseball fortunes play on a different level.
