Damn that kick looked good to me! Was it a controversial call??

Could only get one ticket to that game. As a 10-year old, I sat by myself in the old upper deck, top corner.
So disappointed leaving that night.

It looked good but I couldn’t see from my seats. When Lewis bent over I nearly puked.

What a terrible kicker.
Arnsbarger lost so many games because he was stupid in a lot of ways like his decision to keep sending Lewis out. Poor guy took it from everyone. Media, fans, students everyone. There was a joke that went something like this
Person 1: Did you hear that Ronnie Lewis attempted to commit suicide?
Person 2: No
Person 1: He tried to kick the chair from under him and missed wide right.

The guy was 3 for 11 entering in to that kick, what’d everyone expect?

Yeah I was confused why he reacted like that because it looked like it was good. But maybe that reaction was after the ref said no good.

Yeah. So instead of running a different play, he kept sending him out

First time seeing this after hearing about it many times. That field goal looked good with the angle and with the kick being on the left hash.

Ronnie Lewis had a son that went on to become a great kicker for McNeese—Josh Lewis
did not inherit his father’s genes lol

Wade Richey could have been an all time great with the right coaching.

Freaking 25 yard chip shot. If LSU wins, they go to the Sugar Bowl and play #2 Miami. Tennessee went instead as heavy underdogs and upset Miami 35-7.

I remember that game vividly. I was a sophomore at LSU but was home that weekend for some reason. Killed a nice buck that morning and then watched the game…….thought that it was an all around lucky day until the miss. I went out and laid down in my parents side yard in despondency.
