Anyone here have much experience getting dive gear serviced? I've gone to two different shops in the Houston area and both of them have messed up my regulators. This last one really messed up my primary regulator. I'm willing to ship it to a shop that is good. Its a Hollis.

Last time i got mine serviced the cost was about half the price of a whole new setup. ridiculous.

Call Hollis Customer service and see if they have any certified service providers in your area. How often do you get your reg serviced? I definitely need to get my tanks hydro-ed and vis checked. Probably due on my Cressi regs too.

Service is overrated. Half the time they will mess it up and cause problems. Rinse it and leave it. I've seen more hoses fail than regs. Change your hoses.

Call NADCO in Greensboro NC for a point in the right direction.

Yikes, I haven’t touched my regulator since 1988. That’s when I ran out of money to go on dive trips. I just recently got rid of my BCD, wet suit and shortie.
