Headed there next week for about 5 days before another 3 at Yosemite. So far I have a reservation at Stillwater on PB but curious if there’s some other spots in the area we should try out . Thanks in advance

Would've suggested Stillwater or The Bench but since you're already doing 17-mile drive try Bistro Moulin, Montrio or the Fish Hopper in Monterey.
ETA: don't speed in Monterey

We just came back from Pebble and I asked the same question before we left. a poster here recommended Big Sur for the views. We visited but did not eat there and the views were amazing. We ate at the Bench at Pebble and Pepolli's at Spanish Bay. Both were great and reasonably priced. Pepolli had the daily bagpiper playing around 545 walking up the course and that was an amazing add to the experience.

That’s really cool. What all did y’all do while there.

When my brother was stationed in Monterey we ate at Compagnos nearly every day. Those were some delicious sandwiches. Didn’t break the bank either.

We got back last week from California (same itinerary again)
A few spots we liked:
Sticks at Spanish Bay for the bagpipes
Tree House Cafe- cool spot for lunch in Carmel
First Awakenings- breakfast in Monterey
Mission Ranch- definitely have breakfast here one morning. It is on a farm in Carmel, owned by Clint Eastwood. It is a series of old buildings, BnB style, and the restaurant is open for guests and the public. Nice outside patio for a cool morning. Of everything we did in the peninsula, this was our favorite.
If you are driving the coast we had lunch at Nepenthe in Big Sur on a rec from this board. Really cool place, secluded on a cliff looking over the ocean. It is owned by a family, I believe 3rd generation, and we met one of the siblings in charge. Really kind people and almost a Hawaiian vibe of chill.

Man the memories. Stationed there for 2 years. Had many a breakfast there. Monterey Fish house is good and Sunset Lounge at the Hyatt in Carmel Highlands is cool too.

There is an LSU bar on Lighthouse Ave., near DLI, called The Bulldog. Owned and operated by one of the Bechs from the Lafayette area.
If you’re there on a Sunday, go to Rudolfo’s in Pacfic Grove. It turns into a place called Heatwaves 831 and makes a mean Nashville Chicken Sandwich.
Make the drive south to Big Sur and eat at Nepenthe.
Go to Alvarado St. on a Tuesday for the Farmers’ Market.
Full Moon for authentic Sichuan food.
First Awakenings and Wild Plum for breakfast.
Compagno’s for big arse sandwiches and chats with the weird owner.
