How do you deprogram these people?

I feel like America is lost. We have the loony left who can't tell a man from a woman and think "taxing billionaires" would pay for a utopian society where everyone has everything they could possibly want or need.
On the other hand though a cult has taken over the right who idolizes not the nation but a politician, and have no qualm with twisting logic into a pretzel and abandoning their principles at the drop of a hat to rationalize everything he says. Worse everything is a conspiracy and they seem to have an outright hatred for the country. How do you come back from this?

I was onboard with Trump during the 2016 election. Then I saw who he really was and that he was just another slimy politician in it for himself and nothing else so no longer supported him. And as I came to my senses about the guy the cult doubled down. I think in reality they saw it too but crushed them so put it all out of mind and started LARPing about conspiracies and such to compensate
