So, has our military war-gamed the use of fighter jets against domestic citizens?

I'm talking about those who might decide to "take on government" as Joe referenced today.

Anyone privy to that, if so, or even just have a general notion of how exactly that would work logistically?

No. And the officer level would have no idea to maintain them after a few hours of flying them

Considering Ukraine has been using Cessna’s filled with car bombs as suicide drones against Russian bombers, I don’t think this would go very well for the govt.

Having endless amounts of cheap nuisance weapons will always prevail over having a few sophisticated systems.

Including a population of 333,000,000 people who have a will to live.

Based on some videos from when I was a kid where bombers were targeting like monuments and fighters local neighborhoods and just convenient local landmarks, I would not be surprised if some NGO "thinktank" hasn't wargamed it for the government.

Back when it was filmed I'm sure it was just a convenience thing or showing the camera crew how it's done (demo tape?). There was no intent behind it other maybe general targeting practice.

I don't remember the source, but I thought there was a wargame in which the military had to be used against American citizens and the results were so catastrophic that they hoped it would never happen.

Part of the logic for building the federal interstate system originally was for aircraft landing options

The rank and file military leans heavily to the right and even the moderate Dem voters are rural types who have a beer with their neighbor, support America first, etc.

It's very unlikely they would turn on the populace no matter how much some bitter old Marxist in the Pentagon wants it to happen. They would be more likely to join their golf and beer buddies in fighting AGAINST a tyrannical government, paycheck be damned.

I know some military folks and I've been told that they would follow orders from the president to the letter, no questions asked. If those orders entailed taking out American citizens on American soil, those orders may not be received.

Very likely, but those pilots are also domestic citizens. It's all well and good for the brass to LARP that they are "quelling dissention" (or whatever), it's a whole other thing to expect the grunts in the field, air and water to obediently declare war on their friends, family and neighbors.

Our commitment is to the Constitution, not the President. There would be a percentage blindly following the President’s orders but a majority of those would be paper pushers and probably wouldn’t last long

The military doesn't have enough fighters to repress a mass revolt. I have no plan to answer your question, but I'm not worried.... we'd figure it out. There are more of us than them.

I'll be honest. It's not something I ever really pondered until your president started discussing it. This is like the third time he's brought it up, so I'm just sort of curious as to what exactly it is he's envisioning in this hypothetical he seemingly can't keep talking about.

Base housing in many areas is already compromised due to black mold.

Yes and they've lost every single time. Over half the military would defect. Bases in conservative states would be taken over and a war would bring DC to it's knees.
