Indian Wells in March

I want to see Joshua Tree and my wife (no pics) wants to hike with me a little and get in some relaxation time in Palm Springs. We both enjoy tennis but haven't been to a pro tourney together ever. Indian Wells in March seems like a great place to start. Any restaurant/spa recs for Palm Springs, hiking suggestions in JTNP/San Bernardino National Forest or info we should know about the BNP Paribas tournament is greatly appreciated.

We did the Mt. San Jacinto Tram last time we were there and really enjoyed it. Good hiking at the top too.

Great area.
The spinning tram to the top of the mountain.
Joshua Tree is very cool.
The Military Air Museum is very good.
Take a tour of the fault line.
Lots of good restaurants but the only one I remember is Blend.
Great golf courses.

I’ve not been to the tournament, but we are planning to try and go. I spoke to a friend recently who said it is a great tournament to go see in person when I asked him about it. That time of year is very nice out there.

Palm Springs has the Indian Canyons hiking trails. I hear it's a good hike, but have never done it. If you go hiking, check the weather first, and bring plenty of water.

Wife and I went in 2022...year Taylor Fritz won. Incredible Tennis tournament and has the feel of a grand slam. Their center court has some of the better sight lines of any big tennis stadium I have been too. Also, incredible ground to walk around to the smaller courts and catch some great tennis.

Mostly cold at night right ? Temps average 60s and 70s during the day in midMarch.
Wife did some research and wants to eat at Tailor Shop one night and Counter Reformation another night. Hundreds of reviews and they’re both 5 star restaurants.
