i'd hope so, but it's hard to tell because the administration really doesn't care about football. i almost think they're just going to let the program drag along until the deal with LSU runs out then it'll be dropped altogether or move down out of the bowl division

I, for one, would hate to see that happen. Tulane has some football potential. They are in a talent-rich state and they are a good academic school. The right coach could turn Tulane into a winner (see Tommy Bowden). I don't understand the recent logic of hiring coaches that are almost certain to stay at Tulane and not shop around. Toledo is clearly washed up as a coach and as a recruiter. The results on the field have been horrible and his recruiting classes have been less than stellar (last in CUSA last year and 8th in the conference this year). When you're being outrecruited by the likes of Memphis and UAB then that's never a good sign.

I think they are actually getting a good class. I watched some film of the guys they are getting and they seem legit. What Tulane needs is a solid X and O guy.

They're recruiting Collins from Eunice to take Fenroy place.

You talking about ULL? Doesn't ULL lose a lot on offense this year?

And a half decent season from ULL, is football in LA heading in the right direction? Will any instate team besides LSU ever become a Boise State, or at the very least a USM?

College football in Louisiana is LSU. Period.

Thanks. I guess I can't cheer for anyone in my home state besides LSU.

Its ashamed that a state like Oklahoma can put 3 teams in the top 25 (OU,OSU,and Tulsa for awhile) with little in state talent and Louisiana can't have but one team ranked in almost any given year.

He may not have dreadlocks either

I think he is headed to Alabama or Ole Miss, with Alabama in the lead prior to today, but who knows?

He will be a crappy no good player as soon as he commits to one of those teams anyway, so what does it really matter?

ULM is about to be on the up. because we got one more year with this idiot weatherbie, then him and bobby staub, the athletic director, are both gone. Weatherbie would be gone if staub hadnt spent the booster money on some stupid project. The booster club had enough to buy out his contract and send him packin. but now they cant buy him out so we gotta sit through another year of this crap. then we will get a decent coach.

ULM had the talent this year to be a fairly good team. They lost in the last minute or so to ULL Florida atlantic, and MTSU. They did beat troy. It all came down to stupid coaching decisions for those games. 2 of those were bowl teams. So you could say that ULM has the talent of a bowl team.

Tech is good till Dooley gets hired off to another team. the only thing that might keep him there is the fact that they made him AD too. So he has complete control of that program. Its gonna take someone with a big pocket book to get him out of there. and I dont know enough about ULL to say anything there.

They gave up 700+ yards to ULL and the game was over well before the last minute. ULL was up 17 with 4 minutes left when I left the game.
