im on the fence.... depends on saturday, and what he intends on doin in the off season. winning doesnt really mean nuthin saturday. I they correct problems from last week, which i doubt they will, i might feel better about him. but right now, ill give him benefit of the doubt, sit back and watch what happens.

I was just about to say that foshizzle. Thats the reasoning they gave for pushin charlie mac out. He couldn't beat bryant on a regular basis. (Hell, could anybody?) Then looked what happened for about the next 10 years to tiger football. It was plain dismal. We finally got 2 coaches in a row that know what they are doin and are continually keeping our program in the national picture. what more do you want? you are not gonna win them all!

and i will also mention, i watched absolutely run over mingo on a 2 plays when WM came to Ouachita durin the season

ULM is about to be on the up. because we got one more year with this idiot weatherbie, then him and bobby staub, the athletic director, are both gone. Weatherbie would be gone if staub hadnt spent the booster money on some stupid project. The booster club had enough to buy out his contract and send him packin. but now they cant buy him out so we gotta sit through another year of this crap. then we will get a decent coach.

ULM had the talent this year to be a fairly good team. They lost in the last minute or so to ULL Florida atlantic, and MTSU. They did beat troy. It all came down to stupid coaching decisions for those games. 2 of those were bowl teams. So you could say that ULM has the talent of a bowl team.

Tech is good till Dooley gets hired off to another team. the only thing that might keep him there is the fact that they made him AD too. So he has complete control of that program. Its gonna take someone with a big pocket book to get him out of there. and I dont know enough about ULL to say anything there.

^^^^^^i have about 3 banners with that logo. thats the best look logo that they came up with. but even at that time, we still called ourselves ULM.

I will say though, ULL dosent have half the penis envy that tech has. im sure ill get a whole new round of it too since they won the independence bowl. They really think that they are a far more elite program than in everything than ULM. They REFUSE to play us in football. to the point that if we got teamed in a bowl game with them by some miracle, like the independence bowl. i really think that they would refuse to to play. thats how bad they are.

What bothers me is that ULM doesn't stand up for themselves. As a Monroe resident I haven't seen anyone remotely concerned with it, if I attended ULM I would be raising complaints all the time, Despite as others would say by USL (yes I said USL, if they dont use their real name I will continue calling them USL) referring to themselves as UL, it insinuates that they are a better instituion than ULM. As for the UC berkley/UT Austin argument, be honest if you were hiring someone/ had the oppurtuinty to attend UT arlington or UT or UCirvine or Cal which would you choose? The logical is the flagship-UT or Cal, but the UL system has no flagship but by calling themselves UL they are insinuating it.

that has been my whole arguement. As a student at ULM, i know what other students think about ULL. We talk about it often. But the general concensus is that since the students didnt have a say in the name change back in 2002, then what good would rasin a bunch of hell with the board of regents or whatever be? thats the attitude of the students.

you are assuming that i will be competing for a job against a ULL graduate. what if im going for a job against someone from ... idk. SMU? FAU? Syracuse? pick any school. they will assume that the other schools are better because they are not a sub-school of a larger university

to people outside of the program it will, if i was to come to you with a diploma from the university of arkansas at pine bluff, would you think that its as good a school as the university of arkansas?

because when i get my diploma, its gonna say the university of louisiana- monroe. and if i apply for a job in lets say california, my possible employer may look at my degree and say its not as good as one from university of louisiana because the sterotype is that if it has the city name like that, then its a sub-school of a better university.
