Do you like the regional format or would you rather have 32 host sites and do a best of 3

For the regionals and super regionals?
I can't decided if I like it or not. Obviously if you win the first two you are set up pretty well (in the current format) but I feel like there would be less chaos as higher seeds would get demolished in a 3 game series with the big time programs (Not Arkansas they always choke).

Regionals are so so so good. Way better than doing best 2/3 the whole way

Two 32 team regionals…winners play best of 7 series.

The inconsistent formatting of the super regionals makes no sense.

The only reason I ask is I feel like that would give programs like LSU a massive advantage.

It been this way for a long time and it works. Leave it alone.

I like it the way it is with the NCAA tournament set up the exact same as the CWS.
In order to qualify for Omaha you have to win a 4 team bracket in the regional and then win a championship series in the super regional to make the CWS.
Then you repeat in Omaha. I think it’s a neat setup and the 2 weekends before the CWS prepare every team for the format.

I like the challenge that comes with the Regional format. Drives the intensity up knowing that your team's pitching will be challenged at some point, get to keep up with more teams in one place, and the increased potential for major upsets.

The last three days of baseball have been absolutely insane! Squeeze Play is magnificent.

I like it fine the way it is.

I know this is probably unpopular here, but I miss the old regional format (prior to supers).

Only thing I would change about the current format is that the host team should get the home game in all game 3’s. Tonight’s game lsu should be the visitor and in a super regional, the host should be home-away-home if necessary.

Oh hell yeah
Can’t wait to see Arkansas v Grambling in round 1.
Yes I know we see matchups like that. But we move on. And it’s one game where the 4 has a shot.

I like the regional and super regional format, don't change a thing
My only gripe is the way the college world series finals is set up where if you fall into the loser's bracket you end up pitching from behind once you make the best of three series. As good as the pitching was when LSU and Wake met with Skenes and Lowder it's ashame you don't get to see Skenes pitch in the best of three winner take all at the end.

I prefer the regional format. I would like the supers to consolidate to top 4 remaining seeds and follow the regional format. Those 4 winners make it to cws Cws would be a group play format where the 4 teams first do a round robin. Worst record is eliminated. Top record gets a bye. 2-3 play for 2nd (one game). Then the best of 3 finals. I think that would dramatically increase interest in the lesser profile supers and give the cws a nice interest boost.
This is just plain dumb.

I absolutely love regional/super regional weekends, as well as the CWS. I will watch them constantly regardless of if LSU is playing or not.
Here's my main issue though. The college baseball season is set up in a way that your 3 games series each weekend are what really really matters. Sure you have midweeks thrown in, but for big time programs those games don't carry nearly the weight. So you build a team to get win you 3 game series. That means try to find 2 stud starters, and have a deep enough bullpen to get you two wins each weekend.
Then you get to regionals, and all of a sudden that same team might not be built enough to win. LSU is on game 5. UNC is on game 4. We aren't getting the best versions of these teams playing to move on.
Supers is fine. Then you get to the CWS and it's back to the regional way. It's kind of ridiculous that the CWS isn't set up in a way that would allow Skenes to pitch last year. You crowned a champion without your ace throwing in the final 3 game series.
That to me is a little unnatural. But, I'm not sure how I would change it. And I honestly love these weekends.

I think everything about the current format is perfect. I like that every team has a shot with conference autobids and it’s not some corporate minor league. Yet.
BS these smaller schools don’t deserve a chance. I saw regional 4-seed Fresno St win a national title which is no easy feat in this format. They earned it. I also saw Coastal Carolina win it all and tiny Stony Brook come into Alex Box and earn a trip to the CWS.
I like that all 4 steps are double elimination. Regional, Super, CWS, Championship series. You can’t win it all on a whim, has to be earned over 3.5 weeks and need to win 10 total games minimum.
I like that teams earn the right to host all the way to Omaha by what they accomplish in the regular season/conference play and I like that Omaha smack-dab in the middle of the country is the neutral host site every single year, and I love being a fan of the #1 program in the country and watching my Tigers dogpile in Omaha.
I also like turtles.
