I know Laker fans are ignorant as hell, but I see a bunch saying they won the AD trade because of the Pels deferring the pick. I don’t understand how it really has any relevance with who won the trade as the Pelicans still get a pick in a much better draft.

The Lakers did win it.

They won a championship since they’ve acquired AD

They absolutely won the trade. Anyone who disagrees is simply being dishonest! They won a championship the year after the trade!

If Griff trades Ball for Lauri and drafts Garland at 4, id say we easily win that trade.

Now he has to hope he gets a real player back for BI or hope the Lakers implode and the pick next years is high just to make the trade not look so lopsided.

I mean we have made the playoffs just as many times as we did when we had AD. It’s not something to brag about but it’s not like we are a lot different because of it. And we do have better players from top to bottom than we did when we had AD.

Dammit! Could have used this on Bronny. With the way he is flying up rankings (98 to 55 after the combine), we'll need that pick to get him.

Made the playoffs without a play-in. Also, got to the second round by sweeping Portland once. So, not similar.

Davis was the best player from that trade and is still the best player from that trade today. The Lakers get him for a decade+ and got a Chip and a WCF out of it so far. We burned through all those assets with very little to show for it.

Griffin never should have been interviewed let alone hired and given an extension. The Pelicans will never do jack shite with him in charge.

He might be a bit eccentric but if Griffin doesn’t press the right buttons this offseason he might be right.

We won the 2nd most games in franchise history and we have a lot of talent. Our franchise isn’t the train wreck that yall think it is. Do bad teams have GMs that get hired to run franchises and assistants that get interviewed for head coaching gigs? I’m not saying I love Griff or anything but some of yall are letting emotions get in the way of logic.

We won 49 games, were the 8th seed and we got swept in the first round in Griffs 5th year in charge. Our stars are always injured. I never said its trainwreck but its mediocrity at its finest. Lets not sugarcoat it either.

Would you guys be saying the same thing if pels won a championship in the bubble?

We meanwhile flamed out in the bubble, our star was an out of shape mess and we fired our coach.

Give LeBron months to recover after a full season and yeah he'll probably win another one at his current age
