Am I only the one that thinks Gage Jump should get innings?

He’s gonna go 9 days without live action if doesn’t pitch today.

Honest question, would that mess up his rhythm with that long of a rest? Not saying he should throw 100 pitches, but could he throw 35-50 on 4 days rest?

Yes. You don’t jeopardize a run in the NCAA for this game.

Not to mention if he was injured that would be a publicity nightmare and effect the drat status of the kid

Jay pitched Jump against UGA because it was a must win game. We need Jump to be fresh for the regional, so I don't think we'll see him here.

Sure he could. There is no risk of real injury. However, arm fatigue becomes an issue at this time of year. There is absolutely no reason to have him pitch anymore than he would in his regular bullpen session. That would be maybe 25 pitches.
