As someone who has struggled with mental health at times in my life, you have to take what he is saying with a grain of salt.
He’s struggling and he doesn’t know how to make it better and was simply lashing out. It’s common.
And for people saying he should have just quit, it was how he earned his living. And he very well likely wanted to be like everyone else and get his mental health on track so that he could enjoy playing golf again.
Depressed people, and certainly addicts, tend to have misplaced anger and blame.
