Irons question

I’m looking to get some new irons, I haven’t played in years. I was never really good but would like another go at it. Got some buddies that play all the time.
What’s some good ones that you won’t break the bank and are good for players that are not good, forgiving etc…. Thanks

Takomo 101’s. Never hit them but there are tons of raving review. One of my good friends took up golf last year and got them. Unfortunately he’s a lefty so I never could try them. He loves them though.

Something oversized, perimeter weighted, cavity backed, and lightweight steel shafted will probably work best for you. I’d even suggest buying pre owned to get you started. Check out Callaway Pre Owned . Com…

I rocked the G15s for a few years. Loved those irons.

Callaway preowned
Look for “game improvement” category

if you have buddys that play all the time they would be a good place to start...
go to the local golf shop...
hit some balls...
talk with the staff...
then buy used from several places...

There are so many nice used sets out there. No need to break the bank when you're just trying to get your sea legs. If you fall in love with the game and start to improve, then treat yourself to something nice

Titelist U505 are great for 1-3 irons. Ball jumps off the club and it’s easy to hit. I have the 1 and 3. I tossed my G425 5w out of the bag for the 1 iron.
Just got Gi irons from Taylor Made. Very controllable, 2nd round with them yesterday and hit 4 inside 10 feet, which is unusual for me.

I've been looking at these. I have a couple clubs from Maltby, and it's crazy how good they are for the price.
