Saw some dudes arguing on Facebook about which company is better/shittier between Zachry and Performance.

I noticed there's a bunch of plant workers (current or past) on here.

If we're strictly talking pay and benefits who would you say is at the top?

Examples: Performance, Zachry, Brown & Root, Austin, Turner, Bechtel, Cajun, etc.

I do 3rd party large project management.

In my experience, Zachry, as an organization, is a walking clusterfrick at all levels.

If they are arguing on Facebook at 12:45 on a Thursday that just means they are some lazy foreman goldbricking it in one of the work trucks.

Performance is the best I've worked for as far as work/life balance.

I noticed that too in the two times I've had dealings with them.

I am not a contractor, but have associated with them in the past. Part of the equation is pay and such sometimes depends on what company and location you are working at as the contracts are all set up differently. And if you are just part of the generally run and maintain maintenance crew, you probably aren't going to get paid all that well.
