So my dad needs a knee replacement (he is bone on bone and it is causing him to fall).

He knows (and now wants) the knee replacement however before he can have the knee replacement he needs to get a nerve burned in his back. The back is extremely painful and his knee causes him to fall which causes his back to hurt more.

I was working if yall work know of a knee brace that could hold him over until the back surgery.

My mom is calling his ortho tomorrow to hopefully get an answer but that could take a week for an answer.

Any advice would be appreciated.

He needs a knee offloading brace. It’s the brace designed for osteoarthritis of the knee. You can call his PCP or the ortho can write the script.

We have a place here locally that I send my patients to that size and fit them appropriately. Most prosthesis places can do it.

Donjoy makes a ton of unloader knee braces at various price points and they can be purchased on Amazon.

Sounds like he needs to be in physics therapy now, not only for his back, but also to prepare for his TKA.
