Good and evil is a human and earthly concept but it is both true that we are born flawed (sinners) but also born good (in the image of God).

It's a complicated question at it's fundamental core. What is evil? How do we define it? According to the dictionary definition, evil is considered to be anything that is profoundly immoral & wicked. For something to be considered immoral, however, there must be an objective standard with which to compare the act in question. If there is not objective measure of what morality is or is not, it's untenable to then make judgements on what behaviors or acts are in violation of that subjective moral code. It's merely your opinion and not truly anything that is objectively immoral/evil.

If a person is of the opinion that there is one objective measure of morality, we all fall short of meeting that measure at least on any type of consistent basis. Therefore, if there is an objective moral standard, by definition, humans are immoral and therefore evil. If there is not an objective moral standard, then not only are humans not evil but evil itself doesn't actually exist.
