FTR, Acuna did not swing on that check just now. But umpires really need to get off their high horses throughout the whole league. There's no reason to toss someone from the 3rd base dugout when you're umpiring 1st base. He couldn't even hear what he was saying. Just be like other sports, let people chirp from the bench, and move on with the game. No one is there to watch you make calls.

TV cameras very, very clearly caught Counsell telling the ump to shut up after the ump got a call right. He earned that ejection.

While you're right about umpires, maybe nowadays, managers should look at the 10 screens they have in the dugout instead of yelling across the field about a call that the manager has a worse view of.

The whole dog and pony show of managers and umpires arguing for theater was stale 10 years ago.
