Impressive non-tornadic supercell currently producing very large hail passing north of Mobile, AL this morning. Went from producing quarter size hail, to golf ball sized hail, to now tennis ball sized hail in a matter of 45 minutes.
Edit: as of 6:30 am hail down to half dollar size

I gotta admit I didn’t have the hail yesterday on my radar so I’m a little gun shy today.

Yikes. Some big hail there. SW LA produced that hail with only 10% hail probs yesterday. Concerning thing is that basically the entire state of Louisiana south of I-20 is in a hatched area for large hail.
There is a tornado threat particularly along the I-10 corridor from Houston all the way to the FL panhandle but wind (hatched at 30%) followed by large hail (hatched at 15%) are the bigger threats across the entire I-10 corridor of Louisiana today

Jennings. Pretty much all of swla got hit pretty hard yesterday. I’ve seen pictures similar in Moss Bluff and Iowa. My truck got a few nicks and bruises. I’m going to have to call a roofer to come look at it for me at some point as well I guess.

Damn. I am in South Lake Charles and we watched the majority of it pass to the north of us.

They should seriously consider closing the schools because of this storm system.
What? There’s only 1 week of school left? Out of weather days?
Nevermind. Carry on everybody.
