Do we ever come to the conclusion that China is subsidizing Russia in this war to drain us more, and make us borrow more from them? Seems like a total scam.
Your first point is a good one (I especially like the comment about the “flower children”); your second is foolish. China owns less than $800 billion in US debt. In recent years they have been trying to reduce it, not buy more.

That's interesting because China uses debt to control "allies". They go into countries, sell them railroads, highways, power plants, loan them the money with some really nasty covenants, then the country doesn't maintain the asset well and/or (usually both) the asset is poor quality and the asset cannot finance the debt. Now China has them on the hook and can ask "favors".
