When is that dog shite Rings of Power show coming back? And they’re just money hungry with this movie. The Hobbit films were bland enough.

Yeah but that’s not too big of an issue. It’s believable that Gandalf was gone for five years between those two times, and that timeline still works.

That's definitely something that non book readers wouldn't realize but I actually didn't mind that change. It added to the urgency of the journey. In the book by that point Frodo had essentially forgotten about it, whereas in the movie the tension and urgency was still here. I'm all for changing the source as little as possible, but I thought that was a good change.
