Steyn does have health issues and has been in the courts in Canada and the US fighting the good fight. And those haven't gone his way either.
He would have been the best fit available.

In Rush's slot, I listen to Andrew Wilkow on SiriusXM Patriot. He started in radio (rock station IIRC) in Gainesville and did a stint at 99Rock I think in Fort Walton as well.

Yeah these guys put on a good fun show. Actually they are probably the best rep for this board. Three dudes shooting the shite about political news of the day. And they reference random stuff anyone that grew up up in the 70s to 90s would get.
Ohhhh and I have no doubt they lurk on here.
I like Berry's personality but each time I check in on his show he's babbling about some random local Houston deal I couldn't care less about.

Bongino is way better than them, and his podcast on Rumble at 10AM before his radio show is better than the radio show. He's looser and cussing and he's not filling three hours.

Buck isn't terrible, but Clay is. He hasn't gotten any better since his sports radio days. My biggest gripe is how rude he is to guests & callers. He keeps interrupting them with one of his usual stupid comments. I'm always yelling at the radio, “Just let them talk!”

Marley, Van Camp etc are very good. Available as a podcast daily. I highly recommend them.

In the Milwaukee market we have some really good hosts, including one who used to fill in for Rush on occasion (Mark Belling). I've taken to listening to them and not listening to Clay and Buck.The first two in the morning (Jay Webber and Dan O'Donnell) are especially good, and O'Donnell should be a national figure soon.

Good God both these guys suck...It's three mind numbing hours of movie reviews, personal stories about the million dollars homes they are building and commercials!!! Only reason they have any ratings there not another conservative talk show on the air at the same time!! I wrote the network asked them to fire these jerseys and put Jesse Kelly in there time slot.

I switched to Sirius Radio and never looked back .......Clay and Buck sickened me

I've posted this before, I can't stand their show and yet I watched regularly Buck's Show on The First, and sometimes Clay's Outkick pods..
But, together it just doesn't work for me. Rush's widow and Bo Snerdley picked badly.
Michael Berry actually best parallels Rush's inate sense to concise and frame a subject matter..he would've been a much better pick. Also Mark Steyn.

Here we are 4th of July 2024 sitting out on the pier on North Carolina outer banks...Listing to the radio. One of my friends ( fellow veteran) Said "please get them two jerks off that radio..I rather listen to NPR vs gay clay and buck the puck"...

It would have been tough for anyone to follow Rush, but neither of these two are up to it.
Their analysis is way too shallow, and they are just plain boring.
