She's aggravated because you flatly said 'I'm not doing this' instead of having a rational adult discussion and trying to find a compromise.

What kind of compromise is possible?
She wants to go both weekends and I don't, I said I'd go whichever she preferred but not both. I also said I don't care if she goes but I don't want to do both.
I feel like that's fairly reasonable.

My wife wouldn't even think to ask me to do such a thing, and I wouldn't think of asking her to do that, either. Sometimes adults also need to set hard arse limits and make things crystal clear for their spouses as well. This is one of those times.

They don't like to be dictated to but they enjoy dictating to others....and thats what she is doing.
