I have two girls who graduated from SJA, both high placing. One was a National merit Scholar and the other graduated with honors. It is a very good school, especially for our area, we live in Ascension and preferred to pay the money to send them to SJA. SJA is like a JUCO, they encourage the girls to have responsibility and independence. They also have a tough job of providing a Catholic education as well as a high Acedemic one.

There are some left-wing teachers, but that is not typical. Educators in general, especially administrators are left leaning. With the free exchange of ideas, they both gained some left-wing influences that come from both their religious and academic teaching. My hope is that they will grow out of it, but they are both very compassionate and have a strong desire to help those less fortunate. I think they both made friends with very quality kids and were able to focus on academics. They both were in band and had classes with CHS. They liked being separated and hated having classes with the "boys" because they didn't seem to be as serious, and many had hygiene issues.

That being said the kids they interacted with at SJA and CHS as well as some teachers have become friends and mentors. It is definitely different from how my experiences. They also both still interact with the alumni groups and always say how much they preferred their High School. I think they are better for having gone there.
