If they can make the tourney, it wouldn’t surprise me to see them play into a super.

Beyond that, however…

any round that requires more than 2 games is going to be tough

See I think the opposite.
A regional is going to be harder for this team than a SR.
They could conceivably start 2-0 with Jump and Holman, then have to figure out how to win 1 of 2 against a top-16 team with this group.

Maybe.
But they’re not going to run into anyone tougher than A&M in a regional. If they catch a few breaks, they could punch through to a super.
This reminds me of last year when everyone was convinced that there wasn’t enough bullpen to get through a third game…right on thorough the CWS final game.
I’m not saying it’s probable. I’m just saying that it wouldn’t surprise me.

If we can win a regional, nothing to say we can’t win a Super. We did just take 2 of 3 from #1. Regional will be harder for this team due to number of games you have to win. Definitely have to win first two of a regional to be in the position of someone having to beat you twice. Then you hope with them playing the extra game that their pitching is depleted so we can pull off one of two maybe in a slugfest type game

They have the guys in the bullpen to win it. They just havent been used correctly. You have to let Ack try to work through it in a game 3. You're gonna have to score runs, don't pull your starter just because of two walks. Then he left Dutton in 3 batters too long. And Moffett, Johnson, and Guidry should've been burned out today before going to Loer and Hurd.
Ulloa threw 17 pitches on Friday, Herring threw 39 Friday, and Guidry threw 3 yesterday. In a regional i also think Jay would've gone back to any of those guys before Loer and Hurd
Also I'm still holding out hope for Anderson

Or if Arizona hosts in Tuscon that would be a good storyline as well

Maybe we can get some commemorative cups for this series and a ring for the players.

I don’t think most people appreciate the caliber of opponents that LSU has had to face.
Ultimately, they’re not going to suddenly start beating the Arkansas, the A&M’s and the Floridas of the world just because it’s the postseason, but getting to that level of opponent is not impossible for this team. This is a better team than the record indicates. They may very well knife through the right regional field.

We have enough pitching for about 2 1/4 games.

Yep. Still need day 3 and possibly game 4 pitching in a regional.

This team has a long way to go to maybe compete next season

Thats a big if, if Ed 0 2.0 is still in charge

I am hoping this season provides experience for next season. Get some good prospects from the portal and ride into next season with a better club.

Yep, I concur, we’ve been through a gauntlet schedule, and I like the way Little has emerged. Granted, if we need Little early on, I have no problem starting Moffett in a Game 3 of a regional. He’s come on strong and could possibly give you 5 or 6 innings. I also think Anderson can help us.

The Tigers have 2 starters Herring needs to be the 3rd
Ack, little and Moffitt need be the middle guys and guidry needs to be closer
Ulloa can work 1 time through the line up and that's it.
Loer has been a disappointment
Bingham needs to get the bat going and take centerfield. I like brown but he is not ready w/ the bat he is patient though which is a good thing.
I will say this millazzo didn't play and we got shelled.
I don't know if he makes pitchers feel more comfortable but they play up when he's behind the dish.

Look at this, last night he's swimming in Jack Daniels and now he can leap tall buildings in a single bound.

Honestly of all the years to piece meal game 1, this is it. I know you have to win game one but I’d rather have holman and Jump game 2 and 3

It's easier to piecemeal game 1 as a 1 seed rather than a 3 seed though.
