I am depending greatly on my Visa card while in Switzerland, but roughly how much cash (Swiss Francs) should I carry around daily? Thanks for your wisdom here..

Where in Switzerland? We will also be heading there in a month. Can’t wait.

What do you want to use cash money for?
If you just want to have some cash on hand then do similarly as you would in usa.
You can use a credit card for nearly every purchase you will make.
I was there last year and I think I only had some pocket change for parking meters.

Full disclosure: Son is in a band playing in several clubs, then a huge truckers festival in Interlaken. So we're traveling between Zurich, Erlach and Interlaken. Would LOVE to use the Visa card for everything - that's the plan, but not sure about small shops, street vendors, cabs and the like. Would like to have some pocket money about for little spur of the moment things as they turn up.

We were there a year ago this month, stayed in Montreaux, which I didn’t love, especially compared to Munich and Vienna that we’d just come from. Can use card every where, Switzerland is crazy expensive. 30 minute cab ride from Montreaux to Crissier was over 200 €. Lunch at L’Hotel De Ville De Crissier was definitely up there with one of the most expensive lunches I’ve ever had.

You’re good with whatever you have.
Spent 4 days in Interlaken 15 years ago with 0 cash.
Somehow they managed to take $5k from me. No, you don’t need cash to skydive in the Alps. They have credit card machines.
