It’s not a failure from their perspective.

It’s an off the books money tree with a side of violence.

Actually it went about as good as it could have for them. Grew the military, federal LEO, and built the private prison industry. Laundered money, hid assets, controlled foreign leaders.

they cant do that without giving up their huge taxpayer funded budgets, and they never want to give up that free tax money
