Currently listening to "The Shards" by Ellis (American Psycho) and I'm realizing how incredible he is a putting society in a spotlight despite the heavy handedness of the sex and violence of his writing.
If you are a fan of his or looking for some commentary on the social structure of the rich and powerful I can say he has not lost a step with his newest novel. Be warned it is extremely heavy and deals with teenagers in the same way American Psycho does the psyche of the 90s New York stock broker.

Weird that Matt Drudge isn't hyping this. Drudge has always been one of BEE'S biggest fans. I have a few extra credits on Audible and will likely buy this after I'm done with Larson's new Civil War book.

I read it recently and I ended up going down the YouTube rabbithole on all that thankfully forgotten New Wave music he goes on and on about. I've got to say that that early '80s angsty, overly synthesized pop was the worst genre of music in living memory. Significantly worse than bro country and I don't say that lightly. The Cure did it well but the genre they inspired was well beyond suck.
CLIFFS: Book was good, BEE's taste in music is astonishingly bad.
