Telecaster guys, do you prefer a vintage bridge or modern bridge?

I'm starting to lean more towards the modern.
Vintage looks cool though.

I prefer the vintage with brass saddles, I feel like, the sustain is a bit better, could be in my head. The best bridge is the one Leo designed for the ASAT Special. It has brass saddles for each string and had a piece that fits into a small route in the body.

I need to look closer at those.

If you keep an eye out on Reverb or better yet Guitar Center used, they can be found for a decent price.

Just the bridge?
I don't need any more Telecasters. I do like the G&Ls though.
I have all the parts for a thinline that I need to put together, but trying to decide on the bridge.
Surprised to find 1 on reverb for a decent price.
It's used but looks brand new.

G&L Parts
Wow, those are great prices!
Thanx man!
I can order that individual brass saddle classic bridge straight from G&L 20 bucks cheaper than the used one on Reverb.

I don’t like how the vintage bride can dig into my hands. The modern bride is more on plane with the body so you can dig in with your palm a bit more.
Vintage looks cooler. I honestly can’t tell any difference performance wise, although getting them seated in vintage saddles is not as easy as modern

Three barrel brass.
All three of my Telecasters have the vintage bridge, two of which I swapped the modern bridge to vintage style(a Nashville and a MIM Tele Standard) from All Parts.
eta: Those were the only mods I’ve ever made on those guitars.

Modern, with locking tuners.
Why make it harder for no reason?

Vintage - but with compensated brass barrels. My favorite compensated brass barrel brand is Gotoh, they have channels that force the string paths over the barrels and they intonate beautifully.

Never used the Gotoh. I've always replaced the stock with the Wilkinson Compensated barrels.
I have a new Fender vintage U.S. bridge here already. Might give the Gotohs a try.

Is it easier to finger pick with a modern bridge?

Maybe a little bit.
The Les Paul and wraparound type are the easiest for me.

That's kind of my experience, too
