Hope they win and kind of expected since Jay pinch hit Bingham for Kling last night to bunt.

Jay damn near opened up tryouts for walkons to try and find someone to play RF, has given Bingham opportunities in CF, but you honestly sit there and tell yourself that you know better than Jay in regards to Kling. If he had other options he would have tried them by now.

I know Kling can't hit SEC level pitching. He hasn't done it in 2 years.

Well it looks like Jay is more on Rudy’s side today and not yours…

That tends to happen when you don’t gain experience. You keep saying 2 years however he barely has a seasons worth of at bats at this point in the SEC.

Good lord. This isn’t a new revelation. Bingham and Kling are basically the same at the plate in the SEC which negates Rudy’s argument. Rudy is trying to argue there has to be a better option on the bench that hasn’t been tried yet. The only difference so far is that Kling is far superior to Bingham defensively.
With that said I hope Bingham goes out there and goes 4-4 and hits for the cycle bc at the end of the day all that matters is we get the W today.

quote:it may not be good for Kling/Bingham but tbh neither should be starting. If I'm gonna sink as a coach because of literally poor meaningful at bats in that spot , i'm gonna go with a freshman out there who will gain benefit for next year by seeing as many plate appearance as possible.
haven’t coached at all
I’m just a fan that is reasonable enough to look at the bigger picture, not just strike outs & think that maybe a coach with over 400 wins in 600 games knows what he’s doing
Pearson 7
Larson 8
Brown 9
It can't get any worse starting J Brown.

Lol what?
SEC stats:
Bingham - .243/.293/.486
Kling - .156/.291/.267

I agree Brown had only had 10 SEC at bats is fast and is a good defensive centerfielder and has a cannon. for an arm. Give Brown a couple of series to see if he can hit for next year. We know Kling can't hit SEC pitching.

ah, it all make sense now. You are a Brown fan boi! you should have just said that !!

They get on base at the exact same rate. Bingham has somehow struck out more than Kling in the SEC. Kling smashed some balls at Missouri that would have been HRs if not for the wind and that average would look a little better.
Posted on 4/28/24 at 1:11 pm to Lester Earl
I am a fan of anyone who can play centerfield and hit a respectable average. But Brown would be the first one I would give a shot to.
Fanboi that is rich coming from you Lester. Are u still on ur knees worshipping at your altar for Braswell, Kling and Neal?

Don't try and confuse Fredbull and Lester with logic and stats LSBoosie!

Jake brown is hitting .100 in SEC play and .245 for season overall. He is not what you need out of a starter and especially a leadoff hiitter. The reason you use SEC stats is the conference is where the team needs to perform to go anywheres and in regionals and super regionals they are going to be facing SEC level pitchers or better not Southern or Southeastern level pitching. But go ahead and explain how hitting .100 is a good thing..for LSU not the opposition.

And one gets base hits much more often. That matters.

Probably because he has had significantly more plate appearances. Bingham has a 28% K rate, Kling has a 35% K rate.

Lol alright man

Oh look. Bingham doing the same shite as Kling. Go figure
Posted on 4/28/24 at 1:33 pm to LSBoosie
We are arguing over who is less bad. We need some talent next year, lol.
Posted on 4/28/24 at 1:34 pm to FredbullTN
Lol yes, good rebuttal after your bullshite statements were proven to be factually incorrect.
Posted on 4/28/24 at 1:36 pm to Lester Earl
Brown has 10 SEC at bats in his career. Kling has 45 this year and whatever at bats he had in SEC last year. Almost 2 seasons worth of stats. Lester even you can understand that 10 at bats may be a freshman getting off to a slow start whereas 2 seasons is who you are. See Neal for additional reference.
