Blight isn't caused by apartments. That's just a symptom when an area starts to deteriorate and disinvestment occurs. Whether apartments are in the area or not has nothing to do with it. Apartments don't lower property values. Crime exists at the same rate in older single family home areas that have become government funded.

bullshite. Take a look at crime heat maps in Jefferson parish. Notice how many points there are in the areas that are mainly apartments.

No kidding. But, apartments end up government funded before single family homes.
