Listen children to a story
That was written long ago
'Bout a kingdom on a mountain
And the valley both below.
On the mountain was a treasure
Buried deep beneath the stone
And the valley people swore they would have it for their very own.
Go ahead and hate your neighbor, go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of heaven, you can justify in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowing come the judgement day.
On the bloody morning after,
One tin soldier rides away.
So the people of the valley sent a message up the hill.
Asking for the buried treasure.
Tons of gold for which they'd kill
Came an answer from the kingdom
With our brothers we will share all the
Secrets of our mountain, all the riches buried there.
Now the valley cried with anger
Mount your horses, draw your sword
And they killed the mountain people, so they won their just reward.
Now they stood beside the treasure, on the mountain dark and red
Teared the stone and looked beneath it
Peace on earth was all it said
Go ahead and hate your neighbor, go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of heaven, you could justify in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowing come the judgement day
On the bloody morning after
One tin soldier rides away.
Go ahead and hate your neighbor, go ahead and cheat a friend.

I will never forget the scene where he shoots someone right between the eyes.

Hard to believe this movie was originally conceived of in 1954. But looking at the small-town setting and obnoxious locals one is reminded of Port Vincent and Prairieville in the old days. And Livingston, Denham Springs, Satsuma, Hammond…etc.,etc..

Let's tell Joe, Bye bye Biden!
Yeah, BJ was very satisfying, kinda like Matt Dillon, as the bad guys always get whacked. But it's not Joe that is the problem...it's the Deep State Bureaucracy, Academia, the Courts, the MSM, Greens and outright Socialists, Woke demographic (Women) and now the tens of millions of unemployable (for diverse reasons) that have immigrated here with an expectation of subsidization for the duration.
IMO, we have passed the point of any votes or political dialogue solving the above dilemma, as the above Groups will explode if there is any real rollback to the Authoritarian DEI State. I.e., that the printing presses cease to pump out the subsidy bucks. Not to mention that the Transnational Progressive Globalist movement will be there for the Muh Democracy Fascists as well.
I have no idea what the future looks like, but it won't be anything like the World I grew up in and loved. And hope to again live in, via the next life. With the Good Lord's mercy and blessing of course.

Speaking of movies & Port Vincent in the good old days....does anyone remember the Steve McQueen movie that was partially filmed in Port Vincent?

I had old Billy Jack confused with Buford Pusser..
Billy Jack and Buford Pusser teaming up just sounds like a movie script from the 70’s

I thought the best scene was where the local bully cut that woman with the big Tetons bra with a knife. That sound was incredible. Then Billy Jack made him drive his Corvette into the lake.

Raises hand, proud Billy Jack viewer here.

Loved the first couple of movies as a young teen. Tried to watch Born Loser a couple of years ago and it was so wooden I had to turn it off. Actors were horrible.
