Do you not remember how bad that was in Metairie and most parts of the city that day? To be fair to Mt Carmel, they sit in a low area and it doesn't take much for those streets around there to fill up with water. I've seen the girls have to wade out to get to their cars several years ago. Not really a chance worth taking.

Yes, I do. And both of my kids went to school. My son is a Jesuit and my daughter is at Dominican. The excuse they use is that they have so many kids from the North Shore so they don’t want them traveling on rainy days. Like other schools don’t have kids coming in from the North Shore.??
