This shite will die out. It already has in my company. Peaked post-George Floyd in 2021ish, along with a push for everyone to work from home and people "silent quitting", now everything is rapidly going back to normal.

ETA:

It won't die out in places like California or New York where they have and continue to memorialize these things with legislation, but I will not be living there

End of the day, it's about money and prioritizing DEI over skill/experience will cost companies money.

My company is getting around this by just offshoring the entry level stuff.

So we are still screwing the next generation, but it's better because we discriminate against all young Americans equally now.

it absolutely will not die out. this wishful thinking gets repeated ad nauseum on this board, and i dont blame anyone for this coping mechanism, but it's time we accept that DEI, Marxism, and this revolutionary mindset doesnt die out, ever. the long march through the institutions is almost complete, and once it is done, there is no going back.

The left finding a way to separate access to capital from fiduciary duty might be their biggest win to date. Major corporations are being essentially held hostage by institutional lenders who won't provide access to capital unless they meet certain DEI metrics.
