The balls are definitely juiced, every team seems to have a guy hitting them 116-118mph off the bat.
I mean… Jones looks like he can hit a ball 200 off the bat.
He looks like he’s seining a novelty mini bat he’s so big

116.5 mph would be the 3rd highest max exit velo in the MLB this year behind Giancarlo Stanton and Fernando Tatis, Jr. whose max is 116.7.
Ohtani hit one 119.2 today against Toronto
Point still stands though. This is the company he’s in

If they’re dumb enough to throw fastballs in there he’s gunna hit the shite out of them!

Old take, baw.
He crushes hanging breaking balls this year. He has taken the biggest jump in pitch recognition out of anyone on the team.

Didn’t realize this was a thing. Jones almost always hits the ball hard. Plays well at 1B too.

Most hitters do hard to hit off speed especially power hitters!

But he’s still not good at hitting off speed pitches but who is?
Posted on 4/28/24 at 12:45 am to Lester Earl
He’s. A power hitter most won’t hit off speed stuff anyways !

Not to mention his defensive improvements at 1B

I was amazed when he duplicated the "Tre Morgan miracle play" on the bunt early in the season - getting the runner coming in from third. Sure, the significance of the game was different, but the play was almost a carbon copy of the 'miracle' executed by Tre.
He has been a very adequate replacement for Tre at 1st base.

His HR ball… I haven’t seen anything like that in person, except for Matt Holliday BP
