I was thinking the same thing.
I don't believe any competitive college athlete would not want one more year tp continue their career unless they are leaving for a professional opportunity. Gymnastics is virtually the only college sport where careers end with their final collegiate competition. We have seen almost every LSU gymnast with an extra year of eligibility return for another year since Covid. Unless she has a desire to attend medical or law school it is highly possible Haleigh strongly considers one more year. If it is an issue of the wear on her body given the heavier workload as an all arounder they could treat her like an aging ball player who is selectively placed in the lineup. She could cede the hammer role to Konnor, Alleah and Amari while saving her body for the post season. Meanwhile her NIL deals would expand..

She should go the Simone Bile route.

Can Bryant try out for Olympics or she is not good enough?
By the time they are 19-20 they have basically aged out of the Olympics. That’s not to say there aren’t still college age girls in the Olympics, but it’s just not as common.
It’s actually more common for Olympic gymnasts to go to college after the Olympics and not the other way around (like Sunisa Lee, she won the Gold in all around in 2020 and now she’s on Auburn’s team).

It’s possible all three of our AA competitors for team USA will be over 21

Our entire roster in 2024 could be 20+
Can only take five and all below will be in contention
1. Biles, near lock, 27
2. Shilese Jones, 21, 22 when games start, near lock
3. Suni Lee, 21
4. Gabby Douglas, 28 (depends on rehab progress)
5. Leanne Wong, 20
6. Kayla DiCello, 20
7. Jordan Chiles, 23
8. Jade Carey, 23

Isn’t she a senior? Does she still have another year of college eligibility?

The Olympics upped the age to 16 a long time ago. Biles is an astounding 27 years old. Medicine and a different way of coaching have allowed the duration of a female gymnast's lifespan to go much longer; it's incredible.

Training program for gymnasts to compete to represent team USA.

I’m talking about the vast majority of girls in gymnastics. By the time they are college age they have basically aged out. Most are starting Elite between 12-14. And thier first peak is 15 or 16. It’s very hard for them to keep that up. The 2020 (2021) Olympic gymnasts were our oldest average wv’ve had in decades and it was against the norm. In 2016 it was 19. And before that 16-17.

Young gymnasts have a rating - 10 is high and elite is higher. Olympic level is obviously elite, the best in the world. Most good college gymnasts are level 10. Sometimes, elite gymnasts (example: gold medalist Suni Lee at Auburn) step down and compete in NCAA. Kristie Phillips was supposed to be the next big thing in gymnastics, had some injuries and growth spurts and ended up being an alternate on the Olympic team. She came to LSU and was a cheerleader.

Leanne Wong of UF is mentioned constantly as an Olympic hopeful and HB is way better than her…

Why isn’t Haleigh even considered to be on the USA Olympic team? Don’t they have tryouts like most sports ( except Basketball they seem to be handpicked by the coach )

College gymnasts were travel ball kids. Olympic gymnasts were the Dominican baseball factory kids.

Olympic routines are structured the way they are to get the highest start value possible as are NCAA routines. They each have basic requirements, but in NCAA, you meet the requirements and you have a 10 start value and are judged accordingly. If you do a routine that's watered down too much even if it meets requirements, you might get a deduction for not up to the level of competition.
Olympic routines are built with the requirements, but structured to add as much difficulty as the gymnast can do clealy to get an increased start value. That's why you see a 14.1 score or a 13.25.
Therefore, it's totally different routines you are training. Haleigh would need to take a leave from school to train for the Olympics with coaches that know the Olympic code and are focused on that. They need to participate in camps where they are invited to train and from that bunch are selected to compete in international events. Even if you have big skills or could learn them, the combinations and connections needed for Olympics routines are just totally different. You'd need to be training them for a year or more to really be ready for the big O.
Because of all these things, she would need to want Olympics above all else and should have already taken a leave from LSU. She would have needed to train last fall and compete in the camps already, like Trinity and Suni did. Suni however, may be unable to compete and train due to the kidney disease she has.

I have a question that doesn't matter. What's her ethnic make up? She is very attractive.

I don't know how much they make, but I know 3 gymnasts that have done this and a few divers that have either gone to Cirque or gone on to be in shows in other countries.
One of the Cirque ones is around 35 now and still a performer. I think she's in "O". She went to circus school in Canada for 3-6 months to learn what they do. It's not just Vegas. They have stationery shows in other places and also travelling shows as well. (FYI, the reason I know this is that my daughter, no pics, was a gymnast for a lot of years and ended up as an NCAA diver.)
