My recommendation would be for everyone to be as enthusiastic and eager to vote in the upcoming elections and then have this conversation after that. We haven’t had that critical and telling follow up Presidential election since the 2020 situation, and I don’t think you can actually find any pattern(s) without at least one follow up sample. Which that follow up sample won’t even be reliable unless that strong, enthusiastic and aggressive voting effort takes place…..as opposed to an artificially inferior effort due to too many people having given up because “what’s the use”.

This is my last try.

If that old fool wins after his performance, anyone would be a fool to vote after 2024.

I agree with your entire post and I will vote as I always have in every election. Unfortunately I will do so without any excitement or expectation that it matters a lick. For me, it’s not the Dem/ Progressices who’ve stolen my civic vigor, it’s the Republicans. 15- 20 years ago I was full of piss and vinegar and I believed that the TEA party would revitalize our republic. I stayed on top of every topic and tracked every voting record.
Then, one day, I realized, there is no viable alternative party. I have no options anymore. I’m watching rasslin’ on Sunday mornings. These clowns are all in the same circus and all want the same thing. If they fight over anything at all it’s whose team is going to get the most power and grift from the American people. Worse, it seems that this is what the people deserve.
I’ve decided to focus my energy at home. Changing my ways and trying to build my son into a man capable of persevering the devastation he will experience in his lifetime. I’ve tried to engage our local community to help them do the same.
National elections will not save this country
