Off topic, but anyone remember monkeys blood?
When I was a kid back in the 80’s I cut my foot at the lake and my aunt poured it on the cut. Pretty sure that’s the worst pain I’ve ever had.

Best to use this only periodically, otherwise you will dry out your ear and cause more issues.

Furthermore, when mercurochrome was applied to the wound, it stained the skin red, making it more difficult to detect inflammation or infection. This ineffectiveness, combined with the fear of mercury toxicity from the mercurochrome being absorbed through the skin, resulted in the FDA ban.

My ENT says no. Same with qtips
I think he says that so you can schedule a deep ear clean every 6 months.
It is part of the side racket to get you going back to his office when you may not need an ENT.

Yes to loosen the wax. Then take a syringe without a needle and fill it with warm water. Squirt the water in your ear. All that wax will come out.
Qtips don't clean your ears. They push the wax further in your ear. Water pressure and peroxide will clean your ears much better.

Growing up in the 60s always brought on orange skin. Every parent would pout that stuff on if you got a cut at their house. I hated when they pulled out that stuff.
