What do I need to know about Ar Lowers purchases then Completing the gun?

questions about buying a dagger pistol and a psa ar.
1. Pistol (dagger not at pistol)
Do you buy any frame separate and then purchase a slide and barrel combo?
I am specifically asking if there is any paperwork since there would be two separate ID numbers.
Is there any advantage to purchase them together as a single firearm?
2. I guess all the same questions but for an AR. Don’t know if there is any difference between handgun and rifle process.

The recievers are the only serialed item on the guns. If you buy the lowers together a good FFL will only charge you for 1 item when they do the background check. You can have the uppers shipped to your house with no pproblems. Ar are like adult Legos welcome to the club.

You will need to decide if you are buying a stripped lower and adding the components or buying one already put together.
Completing the build is not hard at all but there are a few tools that make it much easier.

I will say that I work in the vicinity of PSA every two weeks.
Picking up these parts is no issue in store if that avoids FFL fee.

Still will have the FFL for just the serialist part (lower on the AR and frame on the dagger)
You still live in FL or GA (I don't remember) ? You may be able to buy the AR lower at their place and do the FFL (save you on the shipping). Just say it will be a rifle.
I don't remember if this is still the case but you could buy a long gun out of state as long as the states touched. I know you can still buy long guns out of state but I just don't know about states touching.
The Dagger will need to be shipped. You can not buy a pistol out of state.

I can purchase in state at this time in their NC store.

Once you do one you will not want to stop.

Yeah, so ... I'm in the Flagship PSA store on Fernandina about once a week ... picking up parts, buying ammo, picking up online orders, etc.
If you live near a PSA store you can save transfer fees, and sometimes shipping costs, by shipping directly to their stores.
If not ... if you live where there are no stores, then you'll have both lowers shipped to your favorite FFL and, hopefully, they'll only charge you one transfer fee if they're on the up-and-up.
Get your lowers and then order parts that fit your specific needs. I've built a bunch of ARs, 10s and 15s, using PSA lowers. They have a great $29.95 sale going-on right now for their blem lowers.

Yep, assembly is easy, particularly with drop in triggers.

Any paperwork needed to match a lower to an upper?
Explain like I’m Joe Biden.

Not unless you are using a barrel shorter than 16", which would then make it an NFA stamp issue.
Think of it as the stripped lower receiver being the only thing considered a "firearm". Everything else is an accessory. I can see how it seems strange, but adding a new stock or grip is not anything you'd ever expect to need a background check for. Same goes for a new barrel (16" or over), bolt, upper receiver, etc.. They are just parts to upgrade or add and no paperwork or background check is required. Can all be bought online and delivered to your door. Don't even need to sign for it.
