That's possible, but I have noticed a shift in local kids not wanting to go to LSU. Maybe it's just the trendy thing at the moment, but I can tell you a ton of BR kids will be heading to UL and Tech in August.
These are great kids who could get into most state schools and they are actively choosing Lafayette and Ruston. It's definitely a thing, I'm just not sure if it's because it's the cool thing to do or they just don't like LSU.

Maybe they've been in BR their whole life and want to be further than just down the road from mom and dad for college.
