When he has played he’s looked like his old self, the issue is him actually playing.

And like I stated, it keeps you from giving up a pick or two and gives a 40 million dollar expiring salary for the inevitable huge star player that comes available at the deadline

Only player like that I could see being available before the season starts would be Trae, which in that case I call Atlanta and offer Simmons and all the picks for Trae, then we would have traded BI and Nance for Mobley and Trae, and be FAR better off, but that is my reasoning for doing the Simmons deal as I want the salary more than anything.

Expiring contracts have drastically reduced in value over the past two CBAs.

Simmons has played the following amount of games the last 3 years:

15

He's broken as a player, and his body is broken as well

So let me get this straight- you want to get Simmons to trade Simmons? If it was that easy to trade Simmons- you don’t think Nets would have done it already? Simmons contract even as salary filler is as seen as a humungous negative.
