My local PD ends at the city limits.
Its tiny and responsive to our local laws.
Is the FBI responsive to all of your local laws?

they understand it, at least the theory of it, but only when it applies to someone in their perceived in group.
2 of the major Trump prosecutions, and the recent admin action, are all state actions, not federal ones. They complain about those all the time.

I don’t think that’s accurate. That’s a straw man you created.
I think they view the fbi as politically biased. They view the fbi as more if a threat.

I think it’s because even though the local cops haven’t earned our trust, they also HAVEN’T behaved, from the top down, in a purely partisan political way. So they have far more leeway than the purely corrupt Eff Bee Eye.
I have jury duty next week. If they ask me if I trust law enforcement (I was asked this last time), my answer will be “I have a general trust in local police, as I have a vote - directly for sheriff, indirectly for Chief of Police (via the mayor). As for the federal level, if you put FBI or ATF on the stand, I would assume they are lying”
