Please don't bring common sense into this. The same guys who say they aren't Mcmahon haters are the same guys who make it a point to come on here and make negative comments about EVERYTHING that Mcmahon does. It's obvious to anyone that Jordan Sears is a good pickup. Need an experienced PG that can help Givens work into the position and having a PG that can shoot, which we didn't have in Hannibal, will open up the offense tremendously. Who said he was going to be the primary scorer? NOONE. But the Wade cult has to have something to bitch about. So Sears won't be any good because he played in a "weaker conference". But Wade is the next Bob Knight because he dominated the weakest conference in the country. You see the stupidity in these takes right? Then they say "we" constantly bring up Wade. yes, because Wade is the reason they are on here bitching and whining.

How about "good get and hopefully he will turn out like Mark Sears for Bama". Does that sound like sunshine pumping? No. Same with Carter. You think TN thought Knecht was going to be SEC POY when they signed him? You think AL thought Sears was going to be one of the best PG in the country when they signed him. Like I said it's getting old.

I was always skeptical and never choose to partake in this, but Madking is right, some of you guys bring up Wade when he hasn’t even said one thing about him. It’s no wonder yall can’t have a serious conversation on here.

Justice Hill scored 15 and 19 in two NCAA Tournament games

Kendall Coleman scored 19 against Oklahoma and 16 vs. LSU.

Just because a guy (Sears) had a two good games scoring (by the way, both were blowout losses) doesn't mean his is automatically going to be a great player at LSU. But that is where the issue comes in. EVERY discussion is wrought with absurd and baseless hyperbole. I would be willing to bet that if you searched every transfer announcement posts over the last (now) three offseasons you would find EVERY.SINGLE.ONE talking about how it was "huge", "big", etc pick up...only to a year later see countless posts by many then claiming it was a huge pickup now arguing that McMahon has no talent on his roster (for a variety of reasons).

The point is, how about we stop with the hyperbole. Both positive and negative. LSU needed an experienced PG. They have now gotten an experienced PG. Did he perform well at UT-Martin? Yes (though there were also negatives). Does that automatically mean he's going to be great at LSU? No. Does the fact he is coming from a mid-major school automatically mean he's going to be terrible at LSU? No.

Until McMahon actually does something noteworthy at LSU there are valid reasons to be skeptical. But that would be the same for just about every HC. However, there is no reason to completely dismiss a player before he's played a single game at LSU either.
